On February 9th, 2025, St. Laurence hosted pipe organist Jeff Neufeld for a wonderful afternoon of beautiful music. With over 120 in attendance (we ran out of programs!) our guest musicians presented a variety of pieces for organ, voice, and clarinet.

Check out the packed pews 10 minutes prior to the start!

We rearranged the balcony for the comfort and ease of the musicians. We are blessed to have a 'mobile console' with our matching wooden platform on wheels. This offers great flexibility for the musicians to hear and see each other and their surroundings.

Flowers were displayed near the organ's 'in memoriam' - a plaque showing donors' loved ones.

In an upgrade to our concert experience since our dedication concert in 2022, the tech team put together a live video feed of the organist to the people in the pews downstairs. A mobile projector and screen were used, and it truly enhanced the experience by allowing attendees to see the organist's hands and feet at work! You can just see the screen in the lower right from the console in this picture. We had additional flowers by the console to add some solemnity.

As a 'Thank You' to our 4 guest musicians, flowers and chocolates were presented to them.

We'd like to also thank Cathy Hejnosz for supplying and setting up the delicious post-concert snacks and drinks, assisted by Leslie Olsen, who is our invaluable regular organist. We're looking forward to hosting another concert soon!
