Welcome!

The mission of the religious education group is to support families as they guide their children in learning and practicing the Catholic faith. We offer a traditional classroom program for grades kindergarten through eighth grade.  Homeschooling can be supported and other area parishes offer “family faith” programs if that approach is preferred.

Children in religious education classes are expected to attend weekend Mass regularly and turn in “Mass attendance cards” at the Mass.  Please consider this requirement and how you will help your child fulfill it before registering.

Registration is via a new on-line form.  Links are below.

Elementary Religious Education

Classes are offered for kindergarten through 6th grade during the school year on Wednesdays evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm.

The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion are generally received in the second grade, provided that the child has previously attended 1st grade religious education classes and demonstrates a readiness for the sacraments,

Confirmation Classes

Our confirmation program is a two year program, normally the 7th and 8th grades.  Classes are Sunday mornings.  The sacrament itself is every other year at St. Laurence, so those completing the second year may have to wait a year for the sacrament.
